I don`t think Fitna the film is inciting. It is DISTURBING. Exceedingly disturbing. And as such, it`s not objective. But who said it`s supposed to be?!
This film isn`t about historical, or cultural, or theological, or investigative discoveries. Everyone agrees with that, and the media and politicians stop at that. BUT...It expresses an emotion - one of anxiety. It expressed my personal anxiety about Islam very well. I`m sure many people in Europe feel now that their fears and concerns got finally expressed in the media. |
