"One of the doctors even dismissed the patient`s distress signals during and after the catheterization procedure as "delirium tremens," and ordered psychiatric
consultation".
Great diagnosis. The only thing that changed before and after this guy`s catheterization was "For six critical hours, he complained of strong chest and stomach pains and shortness of breath. At least four doctors examined him, including Abu-Fol, but none of them found the problem".
Duh!! Maybe this was a complication of the procedure ?!? What little slap on the wrist are we going to see for those responsible. Maybe the doctors should have their priveleges suspended until they do some remedial continuing medical education for starters.
