Dear Minister Dichter
I am writing to you in your capacity as Minister of Internal Security and former Head of the General Security Services who has spent much of his professional life providing for the security and safety of Israeli citizens. I was shocked and dismayed to read in the papers this morning that the IDF is rounding up guns from citizens in the Binyamin region. I can`t imagine that you are not aware of this but wondered if you might not be because it puts them in such clear and present danger that I am sure you would have spoken out about it and prevented it in your capacity as Minister of Internal Security. Many recent examples have shown that our security forces, stretched thin apparently by lack or misappropriation of resources, were not in the right place and time to prevent terror attacks but that private citizens who were armed neutralized the attacker.
