| JES: "you should probably look up the meaning of the word `junta` before using it." Ditto, JES, because you appear to be confused between a "junta" and a "military junta". A "junta" is simply government-by-committee, and that is in distinction to the "regime", which is all of the political and social institutions that define the governance of a country. To illustrate: the Olmert "junta" can fall tomorrow, and the zionist "regime" would not skip a beat, JES. JES: "The Israeli government is not a `junta` by any accepted definition of the term." It is a perfect fit; Israel is run by committee, and any anger from these settlers would be directed against the member of that committee, just as it was directed in 1994 at Rabin himself. That`s why I used "junta", and not "regime", because although these settlers may, indeed, get violent they won`t direct that violence at the ZIONIST REGIME. They`ll direct it at OLMERT and his junta. |
