It has de facto sovereignty up to the Green Line. It has no sovereignty whatsoever over the Green Line. R: "You`ve never actually said that in your posts." I said it here (#150 and #151): http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/972825.html R: "You use phrases such as `ruling junta` and `regime`." They have different meanings, just as the "Bush Administration" isn`t the "US political system". R: "does the fact that Israel has an elected Knesset give it a government under International Law or just a `ruling junta`." You are as confused as JES. I do not claim that Israel has a "military junta", nor to I imply that "juntas" are illegitimate. Junta = govt-by-committee. Military Junta = govt-by-a-committe-of-generals. |
