It CReates the misleading appearance that if your thug-ocracy is brutal enough to obtain some authority over a piece of land, that world figures will respectfully defer. it is an amazingly short sighted, amoral thing to do. It will encourage every terror organization world wide to pull out all the stops, in hopes that, one day, IF they can slaughter enough innocents, then maybe ex-preidents will visit them too. |
