| "Carter was reportedly planning to visit Israel again this week to brief Israeli leaders on his talks with Meshal" sounds to me like the first stage of a planned claim that he asked for such meetings and was again refused. Since the govt. ministers could then `refuse to confirm or deny to spare his feelings,` the smear would be complete. |
