| Carter did more for Israel than any other US president. He enabled Israel to have peace with Egypt,the largest country in the Arab world and perhaps the most powerful militarily. He also engaged the Syrians and Jordanians both of whome opt out for different reasons. He also set the stage to have Israel receive billions in annual US subsidies. Now that he has done all of that, I am not surprised that Israel shunned him. This is nothing new. Israel shunned G-d so many times before and will not hesitate to shun its best friends. That is why Israel will never have any real friends, because it never believe in real friends. |
