| We see that nothing has changed in the last 80 years. Those "opinion makers" in the Hebrew Press of the 1920`s and 1930`s failed to understand the threat of Nazism were the forerunners of the modern ones who said that Nasser`s threats before the 6-Day War "were merely bluster intended for internal consumption" or that Arafat`s promise at the time of the Oslo agreements to unleash a terror war when the time came "were not meant seriously because such a terror war would not be in his economic interest". We see that supposedly "smart people" over and over fall into the trap of wishful thinking and self-deception. |
