The only solution to put an end to the Qassam rockets, is by setting a buffer zone inside the Gaza strip. The depth of the zone should be determined by the range of the Qassam in such a way that the Israeli communities will be out of range. The Palestinian civilians in the zone should be warned to evacuate their homes and following this warning, any movement in the zone would be considered as hostile and will be met with an immediate IDF attack aimed at eliminating the target. Considerable amount of Sderot`s residents have already fled the town for safer places (this is the reason for the light casualties there). There is no reason in the world why it should not happen on the other side of the border. This measure should bring about a reduction in Palestinian civilian casualties and the message might be understood by the Hamas.
