Title:why does haaretz use the term "militant"?
Name:david
City: new yorkState:
this is the preferred term of media that do not like israel.
1. instead they could use the term "terrorist" since clearly shooting rockets with the intention of killing innocent people in their homes would qualify for terrorism or:
2. drop the term "militants" entirely and just say "palestinians" instead. "militant" implies that these people are unusually inclined to fighting. we know, however, that the large majority of palestinians wholeheartedly support this, so what precisely makes these people "militants"? from the point of view of most palestinians this is a glorious thing to do.
