Nobody serious about Judaism accepts conversions from people who do not put Halacha FIRST and who are concerned about public opinion or the civil courts. The state should have nothing to do with conversions.
To the case at hand, if she never accepted to yoke of the Torah, it doesn`t matter what else she did - her conversion is false.
Judaism is not an evangelical religion. It is perfectly OK to be a non-Jew and live an ethical life. If one wants to become a Jew, one must accept the entire Torah - pure and simple. |
