| Chief rabbi Amar and the various dayanim should have fought this dispute to its conclusion behind closed doors, not through the public media. To say all conversions done by Rabbi Druckman are retroactively invalidated is irrational. How can these dayanim know what was the intention of each convert when they completed their immersion? Rabbi Druckman is a competent Rabbi and as such was chosen to oversee the conversion process. The Dayanim appear not to have spoken to him prior to their explosive ruling. It does the Israeli Rabbinate no credit. |
