is only trying to "polish" its image which is still low to very low over the world, except in Arab countries as we know that Nasser hired Germans after WW2. It will take more than 1 or 2 generations to re-build a reputation.
Stolen properties should be reimbursed as legal limitations do not apply yet. I am of the opinion that German "Wiedergutmachung" may not have been accepted as some may think, mistakenly, that this is a payment for sufferings !!!
The irony of the talckbacks which complain about financing Israel is that the international community & Israel subsidize heavily Pals since more than 60 years and Germany was strongly supported (with Europe) through the Marshall plan after WW2. We will probably never know the full cumulated amount given to Pals but it is certainly very large. |
