| I don`t defend this sort of behavior for a second. The kids need to be tried and punished as appropriate. This should be an oportunity to teach what Judasim stands for and what it does not tolerate. That being said, it should also be acknowledged by those howling with glee over the fact that some Israeli (Jewish?) kids have finally resorted to behavior much more common among Israel`s Arab population, that this story is sensational _precisley_ because of its "man bites dog" qaulity. How many Arab kids have stabbed Israeli Jews who were simply minding their own business over the last 10 years - bet you can`t even count them, they are so numerous. How many times have Israeli kids `returned the favor`? You can count these indidents on the fingers of one hand. Again - this behavior is absolutely intolerable -no matter who does it. But keep this in perspective. |
