| Peace cannot be a one-way street, otherwise Israel would have already had an agreement with the Palestinians. Under Arafat it was impossible for Israel to come up with a mutual accomodation with the PLO. Their demands for the "right of return" were of course unacceptable and would have meant the elimination of the state of Israel. In the end, will Abbas be any different? |
