| In any reasonable country, if somebody recieves funds -this money must be declared for TAX purposes. It really doesn`t matter if Olmert used the money for himself or campaign ( if this wasn`t a bribe but a gift) , but he had to pay TAXES on these contributions. Remember Al capone- he was jailed for evading taxes. Though I am not sure about Israel`s law on taxatuions. |
