Swiss (Dino),
Israel had to either abandon Gaza or continue to keep the settlements there. I personally think that removing these settlements will lead to a more Jewish Israel that will (ultimately) lead to greater legitimacy. I`m not sure that is the mistake you are referring to.
Nevertheless, Israel`s enemies have had the capability of hitting Israel`s cities for a long time. They don`t because the results will be unacceptable.
Even Hezbollah hasn`t repeated the Katyusha attacks that were common before June 2006.
Israel must develop anti-rocket capabilities. The Iron Dome is supposed to be effective for missiles longer than 4 KM. It`s time to deploy this now. There has been talk about the Nautilaus and the Phalanx as well. It`s time to protect Ashkelon and Beer Sheva now!
Even Hamas can be deterred. They are begging for a Tahdiyah because of the recent fighting. |
