Unfortunately in the Middle East whenever there is conflict it seems religious and ethnic minorities seem to get the brunt of the violence and damage. This is only countered when a minority group is concentrated in a particular geographic area, and more so when it has some level of autonomy such as the Kurdish region in Iraq or some parts of Saudi Arabia.
Palestinian Christians should have the same with an autonomous area covering the Beit Jala, Beit Sahour, and Bethlehem area. That way they have some level of separation from both Jews and Muslims. |
