for strongly arguing for all this over a long period of time on these talk backs.

That Israel should negotiate with Syria as it was less complex than the territories.

Your claim that in reaching an agreement, Syria would distance themselves from Hezbollah (and likely weaken Hamas) is exactly what is suggestedin the above article.

Your contention that the US needs to get involved and to back Syria, if Syria is to disentangle itself from Tehran is also borne out by the these moves. That the US has seen its policy of isolating Hezbollah in Lebanon is doomed without the US dealing with Syria, is now substantiated and seemingly acknowledged by the altered US position, their previous stance being one of benign neglect regards Israeli-Syrian negotiations.

It is only fair that all this is pointed out here. A number of folks have derided all these suggestions whenever you have made them. I`m thinking especially of Cipora, FOX, peter (montreal) as well as many others. Perhaps they will now see the error of their ways. Or more likely they will castigate Israel for these efforts, preferring conflict to resolution. Even if it is too early to predict the outcome, you should be pleased that there are some attempts in motion in Israel and the US to `follow your advice`. ;)
