| A number of commentators have picked up on what appears to be becoming a trend: Israeli initiatives in the fields of alternative energy, clean tech, water tech and now waste recycling are meeting with more success in external (non-Israeli) markets than they are at home. This cannot be good for Israel’s image in the market. Israel needs to become the laboratory where the value of these technologies can be demonstrated in a live environment. In the IT sector this used to be known as “eating your own dog food” and is the shortest route to getting the customer’s signature on an order form. This is probably where the central government needs to step in and ensure that Israel becomes an “early adopter” for the best of its exports. Altneuland http://blog.altneuland.info/ |
