| All Syria wants is the return of the Golan. Assad made it clear that he will get this land back one way or another. Israel has petitioned Syria for a peace agreement by dangling the only thing that Syria wants. Israel has no real intention of giving it up, but they do have a real need to negate Syrias support of Iran during the coming Israel/Iran war. |
