| There is no chance that Syria will curtail it`s ties with Iran and radical Palestinian factions just as there is little to no chance that Syria would give up it`s claim for a complete Israeli pullback to the pre-67 lines and give up the territory it took beyond the international border in contradiction to the 48 armistice. Nor will Syria agree to Israel`s right to use the water sources to the Kinneret. In short, any agreement that Syria will agree to would endanger Israel`s existence. Funny thing is that Olmert doesn`t care one bit as long as he can avoid a jail sentence. |
