Barak offered PA a better deal in 2000 and Arafta responded with Intifada II. We know Olemrt is corrupt and only interested in prolonging his tenure as PM to avoid prosecussion and the end of his less than glorious political life.
Olmert is misleading you and is misleading Israelis. He can not offer a better deal then the 2000 offer by Barak. He has not the support in the Knesset.
Neither can you sign on any agreement which Jamas does not like. Hamas wants our destruction. You have no power to eliminate Hamas. So wait, until Olmert is gone. See what our new PM and his/her government can offer. If it is not acceptable you should retire soon, before some supporter of Hamas assasinates you. |
