Title:How Israels supporters react to criticism

There are a variety of ways in which Israels supporters react to criticism. My personal favorite is when they give an example from history that America, or Britain, or some other bastion of "human rights" has also committed similar transgressions. It is as if giving this example invalidates the criticism of Israel. In my opinion, if other nations are killing civilians as part of their military strategy, then they are equally guilty. This doesn`t make Israel less guilty. This is simply not the forum to address human rights violations in Sudan, Burma, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, America, and the various Islamic nations. The only time you hear these issues mentioned is when a supporter of Israel is trying to make a comparison which makes Israel look favorable. Sadly, this does not add luster to Israels reputation. Only Israels own actions regarding Israels own problems will determine how Israel is regarded by others.
