The issue is not how long did Syria control the Golan. The issue is enslaving people and stealing their property. Israel kicked out more than 100 thousand Syrian inhabitants of the Golan.
The same logic as yours is often used to justify strangulating the PALs in Judea and Samaria- since there has never been a PAL state, Israel has the right to enslave millions of PALs, strangulate and suffocate them to a degree such that many of them prefer to die, and some actually do kill themselves.
The people of the ME will not object to Israel taking over all the ME but treat people equally. |
