| Although it may be outside the Green Line, Har Homa was never within the city limits of Jordan`s now defunct "East Jerusalem" (never recognized as part of Jordan by UN, US or the Arab League). There is no factual basis to call it an "East Jerusalem neighborhood". It isn`t even "east" of West Jerusalem, its south. Its the southern part of the Israeli Jerusalem municipality, not "East". Pisgat Zeev is likewise nowhere near the old Jordanian "East Jerusalem city limits, but far North. Do you guys ever check facts? Haaretz doesn`t enhance its journalistic credibility with this nonsense. Just because Abbas and his PA want these lands for a future expanded "Arab East Jerusalem" doesn`t make it accurate to call them that. Just sloppy, and makes Haaretz non-credible. |
