...because he called himself a rabbi and used religion and his interpretations of Jewish law to foster and carry out child abuse, both within his home and among other follower families. If he had been anti-religious and had used anti-religious dogma to promote child abuse, his anti-religious stance certainly would have figured prominently in media coverage. By the way, less liberal sites (ynet, jpost) also focus on his pseudo-religious platform.
