| Oh Natallie, when will you ever learn! Let`s see ... the Syrians want the Golan back FIRST, before they`ll agree to peace with Israel. That of course ignores the other things that Syria wants. Then we have the Palestinians ... Israel walks away from Gaza, and the Hamasniks destroy the infrastructure there and use the rubble as launching pads for rockets and mortars ... and that`s well BEFORE the so-called "siege." In the West Bank, Israel offers up 93% of the land there, initially as autonomous areas, so that the Palestinians can demonstrate they really are willing to live with Israel as a neighbor ... to prove by deed (or lack of deeds) that Israel has a right to exist. Arafat and the Palestinians reject it, of course. So what is left? How can Israel give up ANY land without SOME demonstrated understanding on the part of SOME Palestinians that Israel has a right to exist. Why is that so damn hard, Natallie? Please explain it. |
