I`m a strident left-winger. I firmly believe in a Palestinian (whatever that means) state beside Israel. I believe in the personal and peaceful self-determination of those Arab peoples wishing to find a peaceful way to live alongside Israel.
That said, making truce with a terrorist organization we`re counseled other nations (including the US) to treat as terrorist organizations makes zero sense. If they are terrorists, destroy them! If they are enemies to be bargained with, make no absolute statements!
Personally, I say kill them all. Hammas brooks no peace with Israel: kill all those who are, or identify with, the group.
Those who would have peace with us, talk with them. But not Hammas: they have nothing but evil in their hearts, and constitution!
I have despaired of the lack of partners for true peace. I think our children in these web comments will be witness to true peaceful dialogs with whomever might arise as voices for reasonability on the Palestinian side of the equation. |
