They curse the UN now since its not what they wanted from it and bless it when they feel the UN is doing something for their Israel. They loved it when the UN gave them someone elses land tho.
It really is a shame that in the late 1940`s the Arab states even tho there was much dissent in regards to the formation of the Israeli state, had absolutely no representation except for 1 inexperienced Delegate who was a western educated sultan. Had the vote been taken today there would be no such problems in the Middle East, our gas would be cheap, there would be no 9-11, no Iraqi war , no 67 war , no Lebanon war, no Kurds attacking Turkey and Iran, no Iranian threat, and there would have been a lot more Jews and Palestinians alive in the world today.
After Iraq no other country aside from israel has mocked the power of the UN to make it appear as ineffectual, since if Israel can ignore UN sanctions and be protected by US vetoes then why should anyone else be held accountable. |
