for israel, there is the pursuit of security and there is peace. two separate issues. it appears that israel separates the two and is more interested in the first.
the 2002 peace initiative called on ALL arab countries via the arab league to signa peace treaty with israel in return for resolution for the palestinian and syrian issues.
israel declined make it abviouse that they rather `divide and conquer` to secure its boarders.
will someone explain it to the israeli public that there are billion of neighboring arabs who can be potential consumers and tourists to the economical advantage of israel!
do the peace treaty with all arabs; get this palestinain issue out of the way; give the golan back; and shake the extend saudi hand. you will prosper as a country! |
