| When next you sit down to discuss this disease step back and ask yourself: "Am I thinking with Tikun Olam in mind? Pituach Nefesh? When was the last time I did Bikkur Cholim? Was it at a place where people suffering from HIV are being treated?" Then ask yourself what you really know of this disease. "Do I really know how it`s spread? With it being 100% preventable, why are people still contracting it? How do I protect myself and my family?" Laying blame is NOT beneficial. It does no good and helps no one. In fact it does harm. 50% of those infected are afraid to get even get tested. That means they are infecting others. That is what this blame game does...it spreads disease along with it`s ill will. It is not Tikkun Olam and not what a good Jew would do. |
