| This was in a time before his twitching-and-soiling-himself-on-the-end-of-a-rope days but I still remember the latte liberals and their unwavering support for another homicidal dictator bent on pestering other nations in the region. We heard the same slogans and the same threats (both from our enemy and our so-called allies): "Saddam will cut off oil supplies", "Saddam`s hand cannot be forced", etc. GeeDub`s wild west diplomacy-of-the-gun has in one fell swoop taken out an old nuisance and checked OPEC`s power to unilaterally determine the price of oil. Malaki`s loyalties may lie with the eskimos as far as the US is concerned. Our bases will remain in iraq for the next 100 years to keep an eye on our interests and keep the local nut-ocracies in line. ahmadinajad is all but broke (the russians were getting jumpy with the stalled payments for nuclear technology last year). He can no more cut off oil supply than he can figure out the chemistry of soap of the physics of a shower. |
