Those `fraternal greetings` exchanged between Soviet satellites, or the mutual self-congratulations of the various fascist states of Europe in the early forties, or the intercourse of Latin American dictators when they were in a courting mood.
It`s the complete dishonesty. The scrupulous evasion of any admission of what the common ground is, or what the difficulties have really been. The heaping up of bouquets of `democracy` and `innovation` and even `alternative energy` -- all over a manure pile of cruelty, and racism, and greed, and mutual contempt. |
