Israel is a difficult country. It`s difficult for its constant situation, and it`s difficult because of the psychology of Israelis. Egoism, lack of empathy, opportunism are characteristic traits. A small advantage is a big fight. A particular view of `truth` turns Israelis behaviour self-righteous. Israel is difficult for legal immigrants, foreigners, foreign workers, and even Israelis, who migrate in mass to other countries. This criminal was born at an area of dispute, was an Arab, an enemy and a neighbour. He might have read about the extreme injustice of a border policeman that murdered Arabs, got a short sentence at court and flee. He was cornered at a wrong side of the society, devoid of justice, feed with political hate, and with a daily justification of it. Are these people particularly vulnerable? I think it`s time that Israelis ask themselves what they are doing to generate these situations. |
