You are skipping one pertinent point--They had everything to fear, they were "ILLEGAL", in Israel without permits, as such they were criminals--They would have had nothing to fear if their presence wasn`t criminal in the first place--
This is personal recall, not second hand, we tried to stop an arab car, gave him due warning, he sped up, attempting to evade, we finally caught him--Lo and behold, it contained a couple of packages of narcotics (as determined by the police lab afterwards)
For all the police knew, your escaping car could either have been on the way to commit a crime or returning from the scene--
They should have stopped, police gave a legal order to a bunch of Illegals-- |
