Prisoner swaps certainly hearten the families of those being released.
What is really needed for real Peace in Israel and Hezbollah Land is for both groups to start moving towards what Lebanese had had or been fighting for, for the longest time, and that is: RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE.
Lebanon is the only country in the region that has true religious freedom and it seems that virtually every other country there gangs up on them so that the intolerant country`s leaders can maintain their exclusionary grips on their own countries whom they oppress.
The United States has miles to in supporting the moderate and democratic forces in Lebanon, many of whose leaders are routinely murdered in attempts to eliminate the religious freedom laws, and other democratic rights. Lebanon and its excellent example need to become the focal point for US and freedom loving policy everywhere.
Christian Missionary and Messianic Jewish colonies in southern Lebanon should be the beginning of the ground efforts. |
