| The battle is not against Hamas, but for the hearts and minds of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. This action by the IDF will only serve to harden hearts and continue to pollute minds in favor of Hamas. Why not support the opening of orphanages and soup kitchens and bread lines in the West Bank and Gaza? This strategy will not accomplish any end except to prolong this conflict and create more support for Hamas. It`s time for the State of Israel to begin thinking outside the box. Use your power to empower those working for the poor, especially the children. The images of IDF soldiers invading orphanages in the middle of the night, scaring 3 and 4 year-old children half to death, is not the image that will ultimately win peace in this region. If peace is really the goal, then peace will only come through peaceful actions by those in power. Israel, the U.S. and Fatah need to become the champions of the children, then Hamas will lose their grip on the people. |
