| US sponsorship of talks between Syria & Israel is the recipe for failure. Israel has been under US pressure to enter talks with Syria. Niether side is serious about the talks, nor will the USA allow it. How will peace serve US interests? It would be harfull politicaly and economicaly for the USA to have peace and economic cooperation between Israel and Arab states (especialy the rich gulf state). An economicaly flourishing Middle East is harmfull to US economic interests. |
