"Before bombing Iran, it would be best to solve the conflict with the Palestinians. By the way, there does appear to be a link between the two threats. " There is a ling between the Palestinian conflict and everything happening in the mideast and half of what is happening in the world at large. The image of Israel as the "good guy" victims is changing. On one hand, we see Israel negotiating for peace off and on, but always expending the settlements without pause. There has been an international call for the expansion to stop, including from President Bush and the Palestinian leadership, but Israel has ignored all. Words will not break Israel from the addiction to free land. As with all addictions, an outside intervention is needed for the good of the adict. Until the expansion is stopped there can be no peace with the Palestinians. Until there is peace with the Palestinians, the unrest and the growing Islamic fundamentalism will continue to increase. |
