As an American born Zionist (proud) Jew, I am shocked at this article. Who cares about Talansky`s personality, his emotions, his feelings, or anything else about him, except whether he knowingly helped Olmert commit a crime. Virtually all that was listed against him would never be allowed in an American court, hearsay and all that. Discovery would be valueless. This is all about the allegations of a crime, not HIS personality or inconveniences.
Israel is again, shooting itself in the head, when the US is about to blast Israel`s West Bank policies (probably the round-ups of suspected terrorists and the barriers (to thwart terrorism) as if WE (USA) don`t have a fence, inspections at airports, etc., and arrests of suspected terrorists. If Talansky wants to stay at a 5 star hotel, who cares. If he and his children are not drafted into the IDF, remember, hes an American. Israel is fortunate to have we Diapora Jewry to aid it with billions of shekels and our Israeli stance. |
