| Gabi Ashkenazi is a strong, practical and outspoken military man and I hope he is kept on after Olmert`s hopefully imminent departure. I am right wing but would not argue this case one way or the other because I don`t know sufficient details but I do trust Gabi Ashkenazi when it comes to Israel`s defense. Somewhat off topic. I`m not sure about Friedman. I was very anti-him at the beginning and then pro-him but now I`m not sure. I can see the conflict of interest and why he wants to separate the two opposing jobs that an Israeli Attorney General holds but I can also see the problems inherent in having two separate posts.
