to think that the syrians value their relationship with iran over their own land is ludicrous. if the israelis are serious about peace, the syrian will pay a heafty price to get the golan back. iran is part of the price.
obviously iran does not want to see this happen. the true winner, if these peace talks go anywhere, is actually israel. three fronts will face dramatic change to israel`s benefit: hezballah, hamas, and iran. life support will be cut on the first two and further isolation will hammer the last.
are the israelis smart enough to do this? or are they land mongers and vision-less? |
