I don`t doubt your love of the land where I live, too, but you are no more
"of the land" than the Kossovar Albaians. Arab speakers came as conquerers taking over from Byzantime Christians. On of off chance perhaps your descendants were Greek Christian "settlers" in the Roman province of Palestine aka the former Province of Judea.
That you identify as a Arab is fine, but the Jews are the Native Peoples of the Land of Israel that came to be called Judea. Then again, you may have been descended from a Jewish family that was part of the early Christian, in which case, maybe . . .
I can understand why the descendants of Europeans who "settled" North America might sympathize with you. They, too, did their best to push Native North Americans into a corner. We Jews, however are not willing to accept that fate, so we returned in spite of your "just claims". |
