I worked with Yigal Shiloh on City of David and while the more publicized finds were of the Biblical period it was mostly due to the Warren dig discarding everything above it. Still, looking at Shiloh`s citations shows that he didn`t just concentrate on one period, nor only on the Israelite angle. The excavations by the between City of David and the old City is mostly from the Islamic periods as is the what is called David`s Tower. So you are simply wrong on that count.
As to the Palestinians they are citizens and serve in the Knesset. We have an Arab judge on the High Court. We are not guilty of genocide or of putting them on reservations to die of disease as what happened to the native Americans. Perhaps we are not 100% with them, but then again they are far from being 100% with us. If the Arabs would have been victorious in `48 there would have been a Hamas-like regime 60 years earlier and not any Jews left here at all. Then again you can almost spell Israel. |
