This is partly the reflection of a policy in Israel that allows Arab Israelis to develop a totally independent education, culture, and community system independent of the rest of Israelis.

Druze and perhaps Christian Israeli Arabs are drawn into the majority system because they volunteer in the Army or simply feel alienated by the growing Muslim minority.

Israel has to refuse to fund an independent cultural network that contradicts Israel`s simple existence; like calling Israel`s Independence the Naqba. There is widespread belief that there was no such thing as a Jewish temple, and Israeli Arab`s are far more sympathetic to Palestinian terror than they are to the victimization their own co-citizens of that terror.

It is time that Israel begin to take over the government funded institutions that Israel allows the Arab minority to control. If the Arab minority want an independent educational system, for example, then they can pay for it themselves.
