Nobody expects any regime that sits in violation of as many UN resolutions as Israel does to respect the UN as an institution, but it is the job of the UN to take action by either imposing economic sanctions on Israel or ordering UNFIL troops to start shooting down Israeli warplanes that violate Lebanon?s sovereignty.
I`m pretty sure that once Israel sees that UNFIL is serious, it will surrender its current position and have its planes retreat back to behind Israel`s own border. |
