The Hezbollah arm of the Lebanese army should not have to shoot down the IAF warplanes that are violating 1701, that is UNFIL`s responsibility, but if UNFIL fails to aid the government of Lebanon in securing its borders to prevent foreign forces such as the IAF from entering Lebanon without the consent of the Lebanese government, then Hezbollah should take any and all measures to secure its borders.
Perhaps Russia should sell the Lebanese army some defensive weapons like a half dozen or so S300`s SAM batteries to help them defend their borders given that Israel felt the need to sell similar weapons to Georgia. |
