If you think the international community treats Israel unfairly and favors the Palestinians now, just wait until a Mandela type figure arises with no blood on his hands, marching barefoot in the streets of Tel Aviv and singing `We Shall Overcome`. Then Israel will really be seen as a pariah. And a generation of Israelis poorly educated in their own history and unique connection to the Land will probably join the movement themselves until the country is destroyed from within.
The ONLY way to stop this is to separate NOW. Let the Arabs build their own society - yes, their 23rd or 24th state - and let the Jews continue with their own, with as little interaction as citizens of the two states wish. Would it hurt to give up Hebron and predominantly Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem? Yes, it would probably make Jabotinsky and even Herzl turn over in their graves. But it must be done before we all end up in our own. |
